MAGNUM SAW CORNER

MILL MACHINERY MAGNUM PANEL SAW CONVERSION

    New Magnum Automatic Saw Corner

  • Designed to fit most second pass cut off saws
  • Adjustable nominal panel length 6' to 10' by 48” to 60” wide
  • Panel thickness range of 1/8” to 1 ½”
  • Panel flow is end in at an elevation just above the saw chainways
  • Two air loaded polyurethane covered pinch wheels holds panel tight onto the bottom polyurethane covered driven infeed roll
  • Driven roll will have a 47” face so as to wear evenly regardless of panel width
  • Roll driven by Allen Bradley AC Servo Drive as noted in item three below
  • The driven roll with holddowns will decelerate the panels bringing them to a controlled stop near the backboard straight edge instead of slamming into it stopping within +- 1/16”
  • Covered drive roll will lower from contact with panel while saw chains are running using air cylinders
  • An underside steel roll at entry to backstop has a non-reversing backlash bearing to prevent panel from leaving the straight edge.
  • The backstop is equipped with two air loaded polyurethane covered pinch wheels to direct the panel into the bite of the backstop to keep the panel in contact with the anti backlash roll mounted below the pinch wheels
  • A second set of air operated up and down polyurethane holddown wheels going in the direction of saw travel will hold panels tight to a uhmw wear strip so as to assure full chain lug contact with edge of panel
  • Automatic panel length adjustment via chain and screw assembly attached to saw chain so both saw and corner move together
  • Adjustable table rides on vee-groove wheels and track
